Was eyeing this restaurant since it 1st open.
Wanna see how the crowd gonna respond to it.
Turn out that i never saw this shop being too crowded or full house yet!
Being situated in a sort of secluded area where all the dining restaurants are usually post a threat to this kinda restaurant.
But i think after a few months of operating, they are slowly gaining fame.
Being the only classy Chinese no pork restaurant in 1Borneo,
it turned out that most Chinese like to hang around there and that does not exclude those bumiputras that love Chinese food.
The ambient was nice and clean. I love the huge space between tables for people to walk around. It's comfortably spaced.
Ordered their Hokkien Char RM9.50
Wanted to try whether they really know what they are cooking or not.
The end result was. At least it looks like it.
Presentation of the food was bad. The noodles were overflowing.
They can reduce the noodles or the gravy for a nicer presentation.
Taste wise it was a bit salty and full of MSG.
Well maybe the soy sauce here is not as good as peninsular.
In the end, i would love to see my Hokkien char in a darker version.
Since Hokkiens like to put extra black in everything they cook hence i think they should keep to that.
Otak-otak (RM6.90) i think that's the correct price.
1st looks failed me.
I don't see moisture in it.
2nd taste, Nah..
Not spicy enough.
It was slightly tasteless.
The fish smelled.
So i would say a no-go for this otak.
maybe they should learn from my grandma before making it.
After this 2 ..
I still need to praise them for their customer service.
It's better than any other restaurant i had been.
Still there are rooms for improvement.
I would go back and try others stuffs like kangkung belacan, and so on..
meanwhile, do try out other dish and let me know how was it.
:)
