Chap Goh Meh BBQ

Me and my family decided to have BBQ session to mark this years Chap Goh Meh.

It is the first we choose to BBQ here. A new place to BBQ, bigger, more tables and chairs and they have commercial grills.



It is as per tradition that the Hokkiens will prepare pengat for big festival like this.

Pengat is the sort of like Bubu-ChaCha with added banana and black eye beans in it. Mum first attempt was already really good. :-) We all love it.

Then we have our bacon roll with rice and also BA on banana rolls.

Can't miss Lamb Loin and chicken wings as main course. Garlic bread and fruit salad as side dishes.

We had fun until the dinner became romantic. The electricity decided to fail on us and left us with only the candle light from the insect repellent candle. The electricity goes off for more than an hour. Then when it finally got back, we decided it was time to pack up.
