Assunta children society

Today, me and my other members in the economy club went to this Assunta Children Society located in 12, Jln 1/3 old town, 46000 P.J.

We were supposed to do at least a charity visit to one of the charity homes and we chose this particular home because Our club President , Mr. CCK said so.. If I'm not mistaken la... Or maybe because i said so??!! forget already la...

Group photo with some of them!!

Anyway we reached there around 2pm. Then we donated some food for them and also RM200 from our cold hard earned money.

Stuff we donated

CCK bought all the stuff.. So very nice of him.. hehe~
Sister angela said there were approximately 50 children there only. They will take children that have family problem or maybe run out of their home and had no where to go to..

From outside

Apparently the charity home only open to public for any kinds of activity you want to do with the children. But of course you need to tell the sister 1st before getting into anything.

CCK moving the rice packet from his car...

This charity home also take refugees from vietnam and so on and teaches them basic english to ensure they pass the United States english test so that they can go US. There were this 2 cute vietnam boy named patrick and martin but i didn't manage to snap them..

cute lil boy name Lee Wei lun !! Apparently his name is similar to one of my school mate!!

This lil boy run to us when we just arrived. Super cute. He said he had similar name to Jay Chou. And yes, his Idol was Jay Chou. ^-^ He was actually from China-- How i know?? Because when he speak in mandarin, i heard a very heavy china accent. With that, i confirmed it with Miss Jane.

Sister angela-- the one that responsible over there.

The super nice sister over there.. she was the one handle this centre. She was a hair dresser before she commit into being a sister and do GOD's work.

Miss jean-- a volunteer over there... Very nice person!!

She was the 1st person that greeted us. She went there to help around. A volunteer.

I felt so happy after visiting them. They weren't the one we always see in the TV with sad faces and all but they were like normal kid, just less fortunate..

For now, I'm not able to go for any activity but after my STPM I'll make sure I go back for volunteer. I know charity homes normally don't only need money and food but they need volunteer as well.. To teach the children. To give them tuition.

So people out there.. If you're living nearby or even far away from a charity home and are free .. Then please do drop by for volunteer. I think the charity home will welcome you with big hugs!!
